Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 9, 2026 · Last updated: October 9, 2026

My Diary is provided by makelifesimple studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the My Diary Android app, including information processed by Firebase and Google AdMob.

01. Your entries stay on your device

Your diary entries and their contents are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your entry content to our servers, and we do not collect, read, sell, or share that content. My Diary does not provide a studio-operated cloud backup or synchronization service.

This does not mean that no information ever leaves your device. The third-party services described below may transmit technical, device, usage, and advertising information to Google.

02. Firebase and Google AdMob

My Diary uses Firebase and Google AdMob, both provided by Google. Their processing is separate from the local storage of your entries.

Firebase

Firebase data processing depends on the Firebase products enabled in the app and their configuration. These services may process app-instance or device identifiers, app interactions, and technical diagnostic information to support app operation, usage measurement, stability, and security. Analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring have different data practices; this policy does not imply that all Firebase products are enabled. We do not intentionally send your entry content to Firebase.

Google AdMob

AdMob displays advertisements in the app. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information such as:

  • IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
  • Device and other identifiers, including the Android advertising ID where available;
  • App and advertising interactions, such as ad views and taps;
  • Diagnostics, including crash logs and performance information.

Google uses this information to deliver and measure advertising, operate and improve its services, and detect and prevent fraud and abuse. Personalized advertising, where available, depends on consent, region, device settings, and the app’s advertising configuration. Non-personalized ads may still involve technical data processing.

For details, see Google’s Privacy Policy, Firebase Privacy and Security, and Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosures.

03. How information is used and shared

Local entry content is used only to provide the app’s diary functionality on your device. Third-party service data is processed for the purposes described above and under Google’s applicable terms and privacy policies.

We do not sell your entry content. Google may process service data with its service providers and partners as described in its policies, or disclose information when legally required. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, and use it to respond to your request. Please avoid sending sensitive entry content.

04. Storage, retention, and deletion

You can delete entries within the app. Clearing My Diary’s app storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app removes its local app data; any separate copies or device backups you control must be managed separately. We cannot recover your locally deleted entries.

Google controls the retention and deletion of information processed by its services according to the relevant product settings and policies. Clearing the app’s local data does not necessarily erase information already processed by Google. Contact us for privacy or deletion requests relating to information you have sent us, including support correspondence; we retain that correspondence only as needed to address your request and meet legal obligations.

05. Your choices and rights

You can manage or reset advertising identifiers and adjust advertising privacy settings in your device settings, where supported. You can also manage Google advertising preferences through My Ad Center. Available controls vary by Android version and region.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Contact us using the address below to exercise rights relating to information we hold. For data controlled by Google, consult Google’s privacy controls and request procedures.

06. Security and international processing

Your device’s security and access settings help protect your local entries. We encourage you to keep your device updated and use a screen lock. Third-party service data may be processed by Google on servers outside your country under its privacy and security safeguards. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

07. Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, or under the applicable minimum age in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. The use of Google services remains subject to their policies and any applicable age-related requirements.

08. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be available on this page, with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before material changes take effect.
